So, am I a brand ambassador/influencer?
You're not an ambassador or influencer; they get paid to promote brands and products, driving sales. As a product owner on Experify, you offer people the chance to experience the product firsthand and share your unfiltered personal opinion with them.
Where does my profile show up?
Your profile is displayed on the Experify Map, which can be viewed on the brand's website. Take a look at one of the participating brands to get an idea.
Who are the people who contact me?
People who reach out to you are genuinely interested in buying a product you own. They found your profile on the Experify Map, looking for an authentic impression of the product. And don't worry, Experify verifies these individuals to ensure they're real people excited to connect with you!
How often do I need to show my product(s)?
When someone gets in touch with you, you can chat with them, have a virtual meeting with them, or meet up in real life. Real-life meetups tend to be for products that might need to be seen or tested before purchasing—like bikes, exercise equipment, and furniture. You can choose whether or not to showcase your product to others. You'll be notified whenever someone wishes to get in touch, and it's up to you to accept or decline the request. Naturally, the more individuals you connect with, the more brand recognition you can earn.
What if my product is damaged during an experience?
Users connected to you through Experify are verified and have confirmed through our terms that they possess insurance coverage for any potential damages (personal liability insurance) and assume responsibility for such damages. As a Local, you can decide how much you allow others to test your product. If you let someone test the product independently (for example, taking a bike for a quick spin), we recommend requesting their ID and returning it once they return the product. Please reach out to us for further information.
I like my product, but I don't feel like an expert on it.
You don't need to worry! What users value the most is your personal opinion and the chance to experience the product firsthand. They can always contact the brand's support team if they have any specific or technical inquiries about the product.
What information do I have to provide? And why do you need it?
To sign up, we need a few details from you - your first and last name, age, and email address. If you could also add a profile picture and your mobile number. This applies to both Locals and users who want to contact you, and it helps us ensure that only verified individuals use Experify. By doing this, we create trust within our community.
Oh, and it's also great to share some information about your product and your location. That way, potential contacts can better understand what you're offering before reaching out to you. Don't worry, we take data protection seriously and follow all the rules. Your contact information (email, mobile number) is never shared with anyone.
Which of my data is publicly visible?
Your public profile displays your first name, profile picture, product details, and approximate location. Rest assured, no personal contact information is disclosed. Experify enables secure communication without exchanging email addresses or phone numbers.
Can users see where I live?
For privacy reasons, we kindly request that you refrain from sharing your precise residential address. Instead, please provide a general indication of your location. This ensures that your specific place of residence remains undisclosed unless you choose to share such details with others.
How do I get my rewards?
We prompt you to claim your brand points after every meeting you attend. You can easily check your current balance by visiting the 'My products & rewards' section. This is where you'll find the Rewards overview, allowing you to order your desired rewards conveniently.
I am going on holiday - can I hide my profile?
Yes, you can easily adjust whether your profile is active or not in your product settings.
Can I be a Local for multiple products and brands?
Yes, you can easily add more products you own for participating brands. You can add and remove products at any time.
What happens if I encounter problems with someone?
We closely monitor how our users (including Locals) are doing by checking the feedback they receive. If you ever encounter problems like a no-show, disrespectful treatment, or anything else, just let us know! We're here to help and we want to hear about your experience.
